Tulipaner i lange baner

Bilder fra sykkeltur til tulipanåkrene sør-vest for Amsterdam. En fantastisk dag!
Vi tok toget til Leiden, og syklet til Lisse. Der hadde vi picnic med ost og vin. På veien dit møtte vi på en blomsterparade. Kilometervis med store vogner dekorert med titusenvis av blomster!

Queensday

The 30th of Arpil is the queens birthday here in the Netherlands. The night before (Queens night) and the actual Queensday is when everybody dresses nationalisticly in orange(the color of their football-team, Ajax), drink (alot) and go bananas. There are people and boats everywhere!

I spent most of the night and day walking and looking, and in the evening some friends of mine had rented a boat. Between 20:00 and 22:00 we cruised around, drinking and having a good time in the beautiful light of the setting sun! Happy birthday, Queen!
