New Years and stuff

I celebrated New Years Eve in Barcelona, from the 29th of december til the 4th of january. I stayed with friends from my erasmus exchangeprogram in Amsterdam, and I hadn't seen them since June! But it didn't seem like that at all! Time never passes between friends and familiy - I miss them.

To briefly sum it up, we did a lot of toursism, and just spent time together:

Moflo and Joan outside a strange house with cats on the walls
Joan and me at the harbour

Christopher Colombus (pointing towards India!)

The whole crew in La Ramblas (the main tourist-street of Barcelona)

One of the Gaudí houses

For New Years we went an hour north of Barca, to a place called Matadepera. One of the guys', Adria, parents has a house there, and we ended up spending two nights and two days there.

Everyone's dressed up all nice

Except for the spanish crew, we were (from the right) one Indonesian, one Norwegian, one Australian, a French (in front), a British and a Polish guy!

The spanish people are crazy for eating/swallowing 12 grapes at midnight. So off course, we had to do it. They even have a television show instructing everyone what to do! It's really odd...

And on the 1st, someone had the great idea, that to wake up, we should take a bath! Cause there was a swimming pool... Well, we woke up all right, but it was like diving into a pool of ice! Freeeeeezing...

After coming back to Barcelona, people started leaving - I was in fact the last one.
We saw the fairytail Parc Guell by Gaudí, and a soccer-match at the worlds 2nd largest stadion! It was sooo cold...

Thanks for a New Years celebration to remember! Even though it didn't seem like time moved at all...
