Road Trip North-Holland

This weekend I went on another roadtrip with (from the left); Nicola, Joan, Ivan, Giovanni, Franceska and me.
On Saturday we went to Alkmaar, the Afsluitdijks and a couple of small towns in Friesland; Bolsward and Gaastmeer. We stayed over night on an island called Ameland, in a hostel among the dunes facing the North-Sea.

On Sunday we first checked out the island. It was small, flat and full of horses and sheep. Then we ferried back to the mainland, and visited the seal-park of Pieterburen

The seals have been saved from nets etc, so even if they don't look extremely happy, they're probably better of (and more alive) here.

Then we went to Groningen, which is quite nice but very dead on a Sunday.

We ended up in Assen, to have dinner. That's seriously a small town!! Nothing to see, really. But we were lucky with the restaurant; a rather shabby looking italian, which turned out to be great! We came back to Amsterdam around midnight.
From the trip I've learned that most of the dutch villages and contryside look exactly the same, some italian (since we were on a trip with 4 of them) and that I will definately eat Friesian Sugarbread again!

Parties

So, to give a quick update of my past weeks; nothing spectacular has really been happening, just everyday-life. Which is nice, though, don't get me wrong! Just doesn't seem like anything is very interesting to write about.. However, there are a few golden moments I would like to share:

1: Imitation Party

In Sarphatistraat (where I live) we had an imitation-party. We all got randomly assigned another person which we were to imitate for a night. It was so much fun! (Probably only if you knew the people... Here are some pic's anyway!)

2: Bad-Taste Party

Aiaiai, the same week there was a bad-taste party. We started up getting dressed at Virag's place, and then went to Club 8; the music was quite awful, just like our clothes and you know how minus and minus equals plus; so we had an absolutely crazy time! I let the pictures tell the story...

Bror og Søster

Introducing; my brother and my sister!

They've been visiting. My sister came on the 2nd day of Easter, and quickly got ill, acctually. We had to see a doctor, who prescribed Antibiotics against a bladder-infection or something like that. Lots of fun with a sister on drugs though! But not so fun for her; she was in quite a lot of pain on the first days. Luckily, she got better.

And then my brother came on thursday evening...

Crazy. But we've had a great time! Biking around the city, had good and not-so-good dinners, and just spent time together.
